2023 Programs

Medecins Sans Frontieres Australia Limited ran 4 program(s) in 2023

2 operated in Australia

We provide funding to projects in over 30 countries worldwide. The funds we raise are directed to the provision of emergency medical humanitarian aid in response to conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. - Our work calls for rapid responses, and the recruitment of specialised medical personnel and logistical teams, so that we can support people where the need is greatest. - We also support longer term projects that engage with situations of sustained crisis, emergency, or healthcare need.

2 operated internationally

MSF Australia supports the global MSF movement to provide humanitarian medical assistance to people affected by conflicts, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. We provide this support primarily through funding international field operations, and through coordinating the recruitment of healthcare, logistics, administrative and other professionally qualified staff, to work in these operations. We also provide medical expertise in mother and child health through our staff s specialised work in MSF s humanitarian projects overseas, and through technical support/oversight, medical training, medico-operational research, communications and policy development. Further, we directly manage operations in the Pacific region, organise international training courses for project staff, develop international communications packages and run evaluation missions to projects.
